When two lanes are reduced to one because of road works, vehicles should continue travelling on both lanes until they reach the merging point. From both lanes they should take turns to safely and smoothly ease into the single lane ahead.


Avoid causing grid lock. Only enter an intersection when you can exit from it.


When the traffic lights turn yellow, stop if you can safely.


Don’t take risks when crossing roads. Drivers may not be able to stop in time.
